How To Apply

 

Please click here to start an application for the 2013 Global Pre-MBA Leadership Program Applications and all supporting materials must be received no later than 5pm EST Monday, May 6, 2013. We will begin reviewing applications after Monday April 29, 2013 and communicate admissions decisions on a rolling basis. All final decisions will be made by May 13, 2013.

To help give you a sense of the application process, here is a list of the required application materials:

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Applicants must provide basic information about where they are from, where they currently reside and the best way for Yale SOM to contact them. Please be sure that we have up-to-date contact information, especially your email address and mobile number, once you have submitted an application.

ACADEMIC TRANSCRIPTS  

Applicants must upload an electronic transcript for every undergraduate institution they have attended. For the purposes of the application, these transcripts will not need to be official; however, if you are admitted to the program, Yale SOM may request official copies of all academic transcripts before they can enroll.

ESSAY QUESTIONS

Choose one (1) from the following two (2) Personal Statements and answer it in essay form. (500 words maximum)

1.  Tell us about one of your role models and how your admiration for that person helps to shape where you see yourself 25 years from now.
 
2.  Imagine you have a documentary film crew following you to document a typical week in your life ten years from now. What kinds of things would they capture you doing? Where and with whom; to what ends?
 
Essay of Intent
From the lens of business and society, what challenges do you envision the world facing in the next ten to fifteen years? How do you think the Pre MBA Program will equip you to face these challenges? (500 words maximum)

RECOMMENDATIONS

Two recommendation are required. One recommendation should come from a professor who can comment on your academic abilities and accomplishments in class; one recommendation should come from an advisor, counselor, mentor or supervisor who can illuminate either your professional achievements or your accomplishments in an extracurricular area, focusing on your leadership abilities.

INTERVIEW

Yale SOM may contact applicants at its discretion to conduct Skype interviews as part of the admission process.
